The show takes place in a world where alchemy is a kind of magic power with one principle – equality. With the help of alchemy, it is possible to produce virtually anything given all the materials that make it up – which ensures that the value of equality is maintained.
The story of the series is about a couple of brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric, who live with their mother and learn the principles of alchemy on their own. After their mother dies of an illness, the two try to use the ingredients that make up the human body in order to recreate it and bring it back to life, but since there is no equivalent to human life – the attempt fails and Edward lifts his left leg and from his brother his entire body.
Years later, when Edward is equipped with a metallic hand and foot, the two embark on a journey in search of a mysterious object called the “Sage Stone”, which is rumored to help them cross the boundaries of alchemy and thus give them the power to regain their lost body parts.

6/15. Wizards: Tales of Arcadia (2020)
The last Guillermo del Toro installment of the trilogy, (Trollhunters, 3Below), tells the story of Merlin’s apprentice who joins the heroes of Arcadia and embarks on an adventure that bends the laws of time in Camelot, where humans, trolls, and powerful wizards fight each other.
Merlin, Arthur, and Morgana take a back seat in supporting roles. This time the focus is on the sorcerer’s squad, or rather – on Douxie, who has been working with Merlin, for nearly 900 years and is still unable to perform spells. Doxie’s laziness causes the crew to split and return in time to the old Camelot, in which King Arthur leads a war against the trolls and the wondrous creatures. Morgana, for her part, protests and defends the marvelous fantasy creatures. We get indirectly the story of Morgana becoming the number one public enemy and the story of Excalibur.

7/15. How To Train Your Dragon (2010)
On an Island named Berk, Hiccup, a young warrior wants to join his town’s Viking battle against the dragons, that continually raid the town. His overprotecting father and leader of the town, is trying to prevent him from fighting, but Hiccup is persistent, and he becomes the unlikely friend of a young dragon. Soon Hiccup and Berks’ residents will learn there may be more to dragons than they assumed.
This classic is a wonderful action film, with spectacle animation and visual effects. It is a must-have for a family movie night.

8/15. Dragons: Race To The Edge (2013)
Legendary Hiccup in a brand new adventure – he, and his unbeatable team, are coming across a cylinder – christened Dragon Eye, that provides information on uncharted territories. Hiccup and his team, search the region, looking for unknown species of dragons and eventually leaving their town to build for themselves a new and distant base of operations, called Dragon’s Edge.
This animated series is as beautiful as this sequel movie. It is a sheer joy for dragons and fantasy fans but it can also be great, for a family binge as well.

9/15. Hunter X Hunter (2011)
The protagonist of the series is Gon, a young boy who lives in the village with his aunt. Gon learns that his father, whom he has never met, is in fact a famous Hunter. A person who holds a license to be a hunter belongs to a social elite and many doors open to him. The hunter’s talent may be expressed in wisdom, education, or physical abilities.
Gon chooses to follow in his father’s footsteps and be tested on the Hunters along with hundreds of other candidates. Of those who fail, some will be returned home. On his way to the test, Gon meets Kurapika, a young man who likes to cross-dress and dreams of revenge, and Leorio a young man who looks like a 30-year-old who dreams of becoming a doctor. Killua, a member of a famous family of assassins, joins them.

In order to avoid bullies, Bastian gets into a bookstore. He is sneaking away with a book called “The Neverending Story,” Bastian begins reading it in the school attic. The story takes place in Fantasia, a fantasy land threatened by “The Nothing”, darkness that destroys everything it touches. The kingdom needs the help of a human child to survive. When Bastian reads a description of himself in the book, he begins to wonder if Fantasia is a real place that needs to be rescued by him.
