Many characters in cartoons are designed according to the exaggeration or reduction of their hairstyles. Cartoon characters with short hair may be common when it comes to males, however, it appears that there is a shortage of female character representation. This article collects a list of cartoon characters with short hair from all color spectrums, black, brown, curly, famous, and less known characters.

1. Miss Grotke from Recess
The somewhat lightheaded fourth-grade teacher has short black hair and is dark-skinned. She may seem like an oblivious cartoon character cliche, but she’s an exceptional teacher, teaching her class far above their grade level with great success.
2. Dora Winifred “D.W.” Read from Arthur
Arthur’s younger sister is often the main character of episodes focusing on the younger cast. She has short light-brown hair with bangs. In “D.W. Queen of the Comeback” her hair is even shorter.
3. Dora the Explorer
Dora loves exploring, has short bob-line hair, hangs out with mostly boys, and doesn’t really seem to care about her looks. She’s had the same haircut since she was a toddler.
