With the announcement that Invincible is coming back in 2023 for season 2 on Prime Video, I thought it is high time I wrote about Omni-Man vs. Superman. In the world of superheroes, there are few battles more epic than that one. Both characters are incredibly powerful, with abilities that have captivated major audiences over the years. The idea of these two titans going head-to-head in a fight for the ages is enough to send chills down the spines of even the most casual fans. But who would come out on top – Image’s Omni-Man or DC’s Man of Steel? That’s the question that has sparked countless debates among fans of the genre. In this article, I’ll take a closer look at the strengths and weaknesses of each hero, and explore the factors that could ultimately determine the winner of this epic showdown. Ready? Omni-Man vs Superman, here we go!
Omni-Man vs Superman: Battle conditions
The battle will be held at Wembley Stadium in London. The combatants will be put through five excruciating rounds in the following parameters: Feats. Ferociousness. Speed. Powers and Intellect. Whoever wins more rounds overall wins the battle! Starts at 250 m.
Omni-Man vs Superman: Powers and Weaknesses
Both are aliens. One from Krypton, one from planet Viltrum. Both are the most powerful supers in their respective universes, who possess untold levels of power that could shatter whole mountains. Even their costumes are pretty similar, which is not that surprising considering Omni-Man is a “Superman-like” character that was obviously inspired by Superman’s iconic image. Although his powers are reminiscent of Superman’s, Omni-Man doesn’t share Superman’s famous vulnerability to red sun radiation or Kryptonite. He does, however, like all Viltrumites, have a delicately balanced inner ear that is sensitive to specific sound frequencies, causing him excruciating pain That said, I don’t see how neither of them can really exploit these weaknesses in a regular battle.
How powerful is Omni-Man?
Omni-Man is a character from the comic book series and television show “Invincible”. He is a member of an extraterrestrial race known as the Viltrumites, and he serves as a protector of Earth. In terms of his power, Omni-Man is incredibly strong and durable, with superhuman strength, speed, agility, and endurance. He also has the ability to fly, and he possesses a healing factor that allows him to recover quickly from injuries. Perhaps Omni-Man’s most notable ability, however, is his superhuman durability. He is virtually indestructible, able to withstand massive amounts of physical trauma without sustaining lasting harm. This makes him a formidable opponent in battle, as few other characters are able to match his level of toughness. Overall, Omni-Man is one of the most powerful characters in the comics universe, and his abilities make him a force to be reckoned with in any fight.
How powerful is Superman?
Superman is one of the most iconic and well-known superheroes in popular culture. He is an alien from the planet Krypton, who was sent to Earth as a baby and adopted by a human family, the Kents. Superman possesses a range of superhuman abilities, including incredible strength, speed, durability, agility, and stamina. He also has the ability to fly, and his eyes emit heat rays and can see through objects. In addition, he has superhuman hearing and a freezing breath that can create intense cold. Superman’s powers are derived from his Kryptonian physiology, which is much more advanced than that of a typical human. On Earth, the planet’s yellow sun gives him an enormous amount of energy, which he can harness to perform incredible feats. He is nearly invulnerable and able to withstand powerful explosions and other forms of physical harm. His strength is so great that he can move planets, and he is capable of moving at superhuman speeds that make him nearly impossible to catch. Overall, Superman is considered to be one of the most powerful superheroes in the DC Comics universe, and his abilities are virtually unmatched.
Omni-Man vs Superman: Round 1 – Feats
Superman literally ruptured the Phantom Zone as a side effect of a fight he had against Doomsday and Brainiac. The Phantom Zone actually trembled with shockwaves from Suprman’s blows. Superman even claimed that he could destroy the Phantom Zone if he wanted to. Now, The Phantom Zone envelops the entire Multiverse and that means Superman can destroy a dimension that is equal to a Multiverse. In addition, Superman restored a white dwarf star’s gravitational pull using his heat vision and freeze breath, while being in the epicenter, and has moved a small solar system out of Metropolis. He was once strapped to a machine that replicated Earth’s weight and bench-pressed that weight for five days straight!
As for Omni-Man – it is clear that in the Invincible universe, he is more powerful than any other super on Earth. I mean, the most powerful superheroes on Earth, the Guardians of the Globe, were all gathered in one room, and within a matter of seconds, Nolan slew all of them. That is a very impressive feat, but obviously, Superman could beat the whole Justice League if he chose to, and he practically did that in Justice League 2017 film. Omni-Man also destroyed his home planet, Viltrum, by punching a hole through it. However, he was only able to achieve this feat with the help of two other Viltrumites, and Viltrum already had an unstable core when this happened. As impressive as his feats are, it comes nowhere near to reaching the heights of Superman’s feats. So, I’m going to give this round to Superman.

Obviously, The Man of Steel lacks in this department! His famous “no killing” policy applies to heroes and villains alike, and as a result, he avoids using his full strength in any fight. Conversely, Omni-Man has no problem whatsoever with killing and seizes every physical advantage he has to mercilessly defeat his enemies. He will even bombard an opponent by surprise if the opportunity presents itself. His natural ferociousness and vicious tactics will give him an edge in this fight, and he takes this round.
Omni-Man vs Superman: Round 3 – Intellect
For decades, Omni-Man managed to convince everyone, including his wife and son, that he is a legitimate superhero. Omni-Man had conquered planets for thousands of years before arriving on Earth to secretly prepare the planet for invasion. He is an expert in military tactics and a natural leader who had millennia to perfect his fighting techniques. Superman, on the other hand, tends to rely too much on his incredible strength and neglects the tactical side of the fight. Against a more skilled opponent as Omni-Man, he might run into trouble. It is true that in certain stories Superman is shown to have superior intellect, becoming a member of the Kryptonian race, but let’s be honest – mostly, he doesn’t seem to depend on his I.Q. This round goes to Omni-Man.
Omni-Man vs Superman: Round 4 -Speed
As amazingly fast as Omni-Man is, he’s no match for Superman. Yes, he is capable of traveling at the speed of light, and he was able to fly to planet Mantis within a week of leaving Earth. However, in one instance he failed to close the several feet of distance between him and government agent Cecil Stedman, allowing Cecil to teleport to safety. In a similar situation, when Jason Todd escaped from Superman by teleporting to Pluto, Superman was always waiting for him on Pluto! So, although Omni-Man is certainly capable of crossing interstellar distances at faster-than-light speeds, Superman is obviously faster and wins this round.
Omni-Man vs Superman: Round 5 -Powers
Omni-Man possesses many of Superman’s powers, such as superhuman strength, stamina and speed, Nigh-Invulnerability, flight, and longevity. He can also survive in space. However, Superman has a wider set of powers, such as heat vision, arctic breath, electromagnetic spectrum vision, and much more. Superman has more powers in terms of number, making him the clear winner in that regard.
Omni-Man vs Superman: Who wins?
Well, there you have it, folks! After all five rounds, it is 3-2 for The Man of Tomorrow. I’m not saying that Omni-Man cannot put up a decent fight against Superman. Omni-Mam is fully capable of beheading people with one swift chop to the neck. In fact, he never really met an opponent who can really harm him. However, that would all change if he met Superman in battle. As a species, Viltrumites are just not on the same level as Kryptonians. For example, It took three Viltrumites to break a single planet, while Superman sneezed an entire solar system into oblivion. The Man of Steel has Omni-Man outclassed in feats, speed, and a number of powers. Omni-Man would give Superman a worthy fight, though, but in the end, I have no doubt he would lose.
