Brightburn vs Superman: Who Would Win?

The superhero plot twists contained dozens of plot moves where the heroes were corrupted and became a dangerous destructive forces. And Brightburn and Superman are no exception. There are a number of similarities between Brightburn and Superman. Both are orphans with superpowers who end up being raised by adoptive human parents. Both also have alien origin stories. Superman is obviously much nicer and less sadistic. And he does not murder people.

However, there are important differences between them too. While Superman is a hero who uses his powers to help people, Brightburn is a villain who uses his powers to hurt people. While Superman fights for truth and justice, Brightburn seeks destruction and chaos.

Superman is one of the most powerful beings in the DC Universe and has frequently been pitted against other powerful beings in fights to the death. In recent years, he’s fought Doomsday, Darkseid, and even Batman. But what about Brightburn? In the movie Brightburn.

Brightburn

In 2006, an unidentified object fell near the town of Brightburn. The Breyer couple discovered a baby inside. This is a gift from heaven, in the most literal sense – the Breyer are unable to have children and have been praying for salvation for years. It arrived in the form of little Brandon, a friend from another planet who answered all their prayers.

The year is 2018, and Brandon is 12 years old now. He is a cute, nice boy, very pleasant to people, exceptionally smart – a son that every mother dreams of. But Brandon is no longer a little boy – he is starting to grow up, and like any growing kid, he experiences changes. But his changes are expressed in a completely different way when he begins to develop murderous urges, and the ability to act on them without restraint and without fear of punishment.

At first, it seems that Brandon may be influenced by some external forces that make him evil, but later on, it is clear that he is interested in the gruesome murders he commits, in fact, he enjoys it very much, like a cat playing with its prey. As he becomes more dangerous and uncontrollable, his parents try to intervene and stop him, but their efforts are in vain. Brightburn killed his parents by using his laser eyes to slice them in half. He then proceeded to go on a rampage through his town, leaving a trail of destruction and devastation behind him.

Brandon’s evil species and society are more like a sort of side effect than a nature of the species itself based on their physiological reaction to a yellow sun. Some of his people were more twisted on the side of war and conflict, while others were a scientifically driven society, driven by exploration and studies.

Superman

Superman needs very little introduction but for those of you who came from another planet: He is the last living member of the extinct alien race of Krypton. He was sent to Earth as a baby, where he was adopted and raised by a human couple. He grew up with incredible powers, but he learned to use them wisely and selflessly. He has dedicated his life to protecting humanity from harm. He is an incredibly powerful and heroic being who has become a symbol of hope for people all over the world. He is truly the greatest superhero of all time!

Superman had his share of evil versions. In Superman: Red Son, baby Kal-El’s spaceship lands on a collective farm in Ukraine and he grew up to be the superhero of the Soviet Union. In Injustice: Gods Among Us Superman undergoes a mental breakdown (after the Joker tricks him into murdering Lois Lane) and decides to rule the world. In Justice League (2017), Zack Snyder’s film, Superman returns from the dead and goes through a phase of lack of focus in which he flips his friends.

Superman vs Brightburn: Who Would Win?

There are a few things to consider when pitting Brightburn against Superman. First, let’s look at Brightburn. He is an incredibly powerful being, with super strength, speed, durability, and energy projection. He also has the ability to fly, which would give him a significant advantage in any battle. However, he is not invulnerable, and his weakness is fire. This means that if Superman were to use his heat vision against Brightburn, he could potentially win the fight.

Superman is one of the most powerful beings in the DC Universe. He has superhuman strength, speed, durability, and flight. He also has heat vision, cold breath, and X-ray vision. Superman is almost impossible to hurt and can recover quickly from any injury.

Superman has had many more years to learn and develop his mind. He is an incredibly wise and mature individual who can think very rationally and logically. In contrast, Brightburn is still very much a young teenager who is prone to making mistakes and taking risks. If Brendon gets to superman’s age and experience, he’s gonna be badass. Superman didn’t discover his abilities at Brendon’s age. Brightburn is only 12 yrs and Superman’s early 30s and has trained and fought super-villains to be where he is today so it’s not a fair comparison.

Superman’s opponents constantly underestimate his intelligence, thinking he’s just a guy who’s strong and not much more. He’s won all of his greatest battles by thinking and using his mind and wits, as much as his muscles. That’s another advantage of being older and wiser.

I can think of a huge reason adult Brightburn could beat Superman, and it’s because there is more kryptonite on the planet than the metal that can kill Brightburn, so all Brightburn has to do is use kryptonite.

Verdict

At this stage, superman would of course beat the breaks off of Brightburn. But one thing we don’t know is what is fueling Brightburn’s superpowers. We only know that the metal from his space crib can harm him, but that’s it. Also, Brandon is new to his powers, and he’s very young so we don’t know how quickly and how strong they might evolve. He already uses telekinesis and telepathy. Grown Brightburn might be a serious problem for Superman.
